The Young and the Restless Recap
The Young and the Restless recap for December 16-20, 2019, features a scheming Adam, a subdued Phyllis, Elena learning some secrets and a relationship being defined.
Connor (Judah Mackey) continued to try and reunite his parents and his delusion was fed by Adam (Mark Grossman), who harbors his own desire to have Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) as his wife again.
Hoping to hurry what he believes is inevitable, Adam summoned Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) to the penthouse and asked her to “pursue your heart’s desires.”
“Are you asking me to seduce my ex-husband for you?” Phyllis wondered. Yes, was the reply. Or, at least, the equivalent of. And Phyllis’ response? “How DARE you talk to me like that.” Suffice it to say, the friendship between ol’ Red and the prodigal Newman is kaput.
Phyllis made a beeline for Nick (Joshua Morrow) to rat out his brother but managed to stop herself. “I’m going to take the high road, for now…for now.”
That handy dandy folder labeled Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) that Victor (Eric Braeden) handed Devon (Bryton James) proved to be interesting reading.
Amongst the biggest revelations was the fact she and a mystery man named Ripley Turner filed joint restraining orders against each other and soon after she left her hometown — and law office — for Genoa City.

When Elena (Brytni Sarpy) happened upon the documents she changed her mind mighty quick about that olive branch she extended to Amanda. In fact, the very minute she spied Nate (Sean Dominic) she warned him that his new gal pal “is a complicated woman with a lot of secrets. Secrets that make me believe she could be dangerous.”
Speaking of Amanda, she and Billy (Jason Thompson) continued their clandestine meetings at the dive bar and she asked him if he was expecting their relationship to take a sexual turn.
No thank you, Billy said. In fact, his sex life with his wife is most satisfactory if you please and the only thing he wants from her is friendship. The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
