The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, November 5, 2021, prompts Victoria Newman to get honest with Nicholas Newman, while Adam Newman does the same with Nikki Newman. Plus, girl talk for Phyllis Summers and Amanda Sinclair!

The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights

Victoria (Amelia Heinle) was furious with Nick (Joshua Morrow) for going behind her back to dig up dirt on Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) — though when Daddy Victor (Eric Braeden) did the exact same thing, she was a lot more forgiving. First, Victoria banned Nick from coming to her wedding. Then she said, “Oh, fine, go ahead, who cares?” So he did, but she glared at him the entire time.

Now, finally, instead of just growling at her brother, Victoria opens up and explains why she was so hurt. Nick’s actions made Victoria feel like he didn’t think she could take care of herself or make sound decisions about her love life. Nick apologizes. They have a moment of reproachment. Then they talk about Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). She and Nick are donesville.

When Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) walked in, it seemed like one big family reunion. Nick, why did both your siblings act like there was a big family heartbreak that you knew nothing about? Nick’s sure to be hurt when he realizes he’s the last to know about Chance’s presumed death.

Y&R Recap: One Of the Family

Also doing some unexpected family bonding are Adam (Mark Grossman) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott). She trusts him to keep news of Chance’s presumed death within the family. He trusts her enough to say that he will keep Chance in mind as he works towards being a better person. Nikki says she will try to trust him about that. But it’s pretty clear she doesn’t trust him, and perhaps Adam doesn’t trust her either.

The Young and the Restless Recap: What’s New With You

Amanda (Mishael Morgan) fills gal pal Phyllis in about her no-good granddaddy Sutton Ames (Jack Landron). Phyllis listens sympathetically. Then, she starts talking about herself and Nick. It’s nice that they’re friends. But it would be even nicer if their hanging out could pass the Bechtel Test.

Oopsie, Amanda spills the beans about Chance’s death, and she swears Red to secrecy. After Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc) asks Amanda for a meeting, Phyllis nearly texts Nick, but she thinks better of it.
