The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, May 21, 2021, see the Newman and Abbott families sucked into Ashland and Tara Locke’s looming custody battle. Plus, Chelsea wants Chloe to find out what Adam and Victor are doing to Conner. So it’s moppets all around!
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
An afternoon spent trying to make conversation with his son only reinforces Kyle’s (Michael Mealor) determination to proclaim his paternity. He is so worried about Tara (Elizabeth Leiner) and Harrison’s (Kellen Enriquez) safety, that he floats the idea of moving them into the Abbott mansion. Summer (Hunter King) tries to sound supportive. But no one is that good of an actress. Jack (Peter Bergman) also has questions.
Meanwhile, Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) breaks up a shouting match between Ashland (Richard Burgi) and Tara in her lobby. When Tara thanks her, Phyllis snipes that she’s doing it to protect her own child – not Tara’s.
Ashland moves on to sharing his marriage and custody woes with Victor (Eric Braeden) and Adam (Mark Grossman). Surely, they understand his fatherly pain? Oh, yes, they both totally do.
Billy (Jason Thompson) stops by their table and is informed that the newly renamed Newman Media will decimate Chance Comm. Since this isn’t exactly breaking news, Billy moves on. He comes home to Lily (Christel Khalil) in their new home, so he’s good.
The Other Custody Battle
Adam told Ashland that he doesn’t know what to tell Conner (Judah Macey) about Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan), but that he’s done nothing so far.
Chelsea, however, is convinced that he and Victor have already brought the boy home from boarding school and are filling his mind with poisonous thoughts about her. She puts Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) on the case of finding out.
Because, as everyone knows, Chelsea’s family is so much more important than Chloe’s. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
