The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Jack (Peter Bergman), Ashley (Eileen Davidson), and Traci (Beth Maitland) think of themselves as John’s (Jerry Douglas) real family. They’re the children he raised on his own after Dina (Marla Adams) decided she had better things to do in Europe.
Jack was his namesake, Ashley was his Beauty, and Traci was the one he had to keep telling she was important, too. They see themselves as the keepers of John’s legacy. And they’re not going to let anyone steal that mantle away from them.
Other Side Of The Tracks
Meanwhile, Gloria (Judith Chapman) doesn’t want anyone to forget that she’s John’s widow. She brings in her own reinforcements, sons Michael (Christian J. LeBlanc) and Kevin (Greg Rikaart).

They’re going to make sure they get the respect they are rightfully due. They discuss how John gave everybody a second chance. Including Lauren (Tracey Bregman), who, back in the 1980s, made Traci’s life absolutely miserable. Is there such a thing as being too forgiving?
Supporting Players
Billy doesn’t want to go to his dad’s funeral. Colleen isn’t thrilled about it, either, but feels they should. Kay (Jeanne Cooper) and Jill (Jess Walton) are there, though. And we get flashbacks!
They start before Gloria arrives. And so does the service. Jack insists they go on as scheduled and not wait for Gloria and the boys, while Ashley and Kay volunteer that they should at least give her a call first.
