The Young and the Restless recap for Tuesday, November 17, 2020, is a whine-fest to beat all whine-fests, as Summer goes sniffing to Jack, Faith whines to Nick, and Theo snivels to Mariah. At least Phyllis and Sally stand up for themselves.

The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights

Lauren (Tracey Bregman) offers Summer (Hunter King) a better paying, higher responsibility job with Fenmore’s. She tells Summer how awesome she is. Summer’s eyes get all misty and she goes running to Jack (Peter Bergman). He tells her how awesome she is. But all Summer can boo-hoo about is how Jack is pushing her out of Jabot and away from Kyle (Michael Mealor). Whom Summer repeatedly dumped. Multiple times. Jack has to keep telling her how great she is. That’s still not enough for Summer.

At least, earlier, when Jack told Sally (Courtney Hope) that he hoped she wouldn’t give up just because Lauren was giving that job to someone else, Sally told him quitting wasn’t in her DNA. Neither is whining, thank goodness.

Daddy’s Little Girl

Nick (Joshua Morrow) overhears Phyllis and Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) discussing that the teen has been guzzling vodka. Faith said that Nick didn’t understand. No one has ever had a childhood as complicated as hers, and no one has ever been under this kind of pressure. She knows she did the wrong thing, but, let’s be honest, it’s all Nick and Sharon’s (Sharon Case) fault. Nah, Nick decides it’s Phyllis’ fault.

What do you think? Post a comment!

At least, later, when Victoria (Amelia Heinle) gets on Phyllis’s case about a business decision, Phyllis makes it clear that quitting isn’t in her DNA. Neither is whining, thank goodness.

Love Lorn

Theo (Tyler Johnson) tells Mariah (Camryn Grimes) he wants the Abbotts’ money. Nah, Mariah psychoanalyzes, he just wants their love.

At the same time, Kyle tells Lauren that he doesn’t want to lose Summer as a co-worker. Nah, Lauren corrects him, he just doesn’t want to lose Summer. Kyle and Summer have yet another conversation where they are both on the edge of tears. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
