The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, June 25, 2021, continues to obsess over Summer Newman, as Nick Newman and Phyllis Summers fret over their daughter, Tara Locke and Sally Spectra discuss her departure, and Lauren learns she’s losing an employee. Also, Imani Benedict yells at Amanda Sinclair (strangely, not about Summer). And Abby Chancellor runs into an ex.
What will Genoa City do without Summer (Hunter King)? Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) goes crying to Phyllis (Michelle Stafford), begging her to convince Summer to stay. Phyllis goes crying to Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman), begging her to convince Summer to stay. Lauren tries to convince Summer to stay.
Nick (Joshua Morrow) asks Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) why he thinks Summer and Kyle didn’t work out. Nick asks Phyllis why she thinks Summer and Kyle didn’t work out. The latter does note that their daughter had a front seat as to how being married to one woman – while parenting with another – leads to heartache. She did see Nick bounce between her mother and Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) for most of her life.
Meanwhile, Jack notes that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) is in a good mood. She doesn’t tell him it’s because she and Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) just celebrated getting Summer out of town. Tara pretends she isn’t as excited about it as Sally is. She expresses surprise when Kyle tells her Summer has left him. Let her help!
Amanda (Mishael Morgan) makes plans to get to the bottom of her father’s murder. Then Imani (Leigh Ann Rose) storms in to say that, thanks to Amanda, Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey) has confessed to killing Richard. She blames Amanda because, logic!
Abby (Melissa Ordway) runs into her ex-husband, Stitch Rayburn, and tells him about Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) carrying her baby. Then she remembers how their marriage fell apart. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
