The Young and the Restless recap for Thursday, January 7, 2021, features Summer and Kyle gunning for Sally, Chelsea learning what comes next, and Lily and Billy walking in each other’s shoes.
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Summer (Hunter King) convinces Kyle (Michael Mealor) that Sally (Courtney Hope) is absolutely terrible. She tells him to ask her certain questions, and see how she reacts. Sally doesn’t react the way Summer and Kyle expected. That proves she’s hiding something!
Kyle agrees to accompany Summer to Los Angeles, where she will dig up dirt on someone who is multiple professional levels below her, not from a wealthy and connected family, and thus no threat to Summer at all! Yeah, that’ll show Sally for wanting stuff. Know your place, poor girl!
Moving Ahead
Adam (Mark Grossman) brings Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) home from the hospital. No rehab for her! He introduces her to her physical therapist (Dana Sparks), who promises lots of work ahead. Connor (Judah Mackey) calls and wants to talk to his mom, but Adam says she’s sleeping, declining to tell their son just how sick his mother is.

Two Of a Kind
Lily (Christel Khalil) and Billy (Jason Thompson) disagree about him continuing to write exposes about Adam. Lily wonders if she made a mistake getting involved with a guy she works with. Billy wonders if he made a mistake obsessing over Adam.
Lily apologizes and promises to see things more from Billy’s point of view. Billy apologizes and says he’ll stop insisting on them writing about Adam. And then he suggests he and Lily have sex. Because they’re good now, right?
Afterthought
Devon (Bryton James) dreams of Amanda (Mishael Morgan) taking off her clothes for him. But Amanda has other stuff going on in the real world. Her half-sister shows up to tell Amanda to leave their mother alone. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
