The Young and the Restless recap for Tuesday, September 8, 2020, finds multiple characters at the ends of their rope. Sharon learns that her cancer is back – but ignores her own health to go running when Adam calls. Plus, Elena decides to create problems where none exist.
Sharon (Sharon Case) learns that her cancer is back. When she went home, Rey wasn’t there so she answers Adam’s (Mark Grossman) latest distress call.
When she gets to his motel room, Chance (Jordi Vilasuso) is there. He assumes the two are having an affair, but promises he won’t tell anyone. Sharon frets about what Rey might think, but Adam doesn’t care at all. He only cares about is Sharon helping him – now!
A fed-up and understandably on edge Sharon fires back that Adam is obsessing about something that happened years ago. Is he aware that there are people who have real problems now? (Probably not.) All Adam hears is that Sharon is doubting his problems are the most important thing in the world. And that can’t be right.
Sharon tells him they’re done, she can’t do this anymore. Adam whines until she changes her mind. Fine. Adam is right. Nothing on earth is more important than his feelings. She’ll continue catering to his every whim.
Elena (Brytni Sarpy) freaks out about Devon (Bryton James) giving Amanda (Mishael Morgan) Hilary’s DNA for testing, then having the gall to bond over it. She goes crying to Nate (Sean Dominic), convinced that if Amanda turns out to be a relative of Hilary’s, Devon will dump Elena and go for Amanda instead. Nate tactfully tries to tell her she’s acting like a crazy person. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
