The Young and the Restless recap for Thursday, September 23, 2021, highlights Billy Abbott feeling super-smug because he knows how to Google, while Victoria Newman feels super-confident about her upcoming marriage, and Phyllis Summers is super-eager to keep Nick Newman away from that entire mess.
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Billy (Jason Thompson) does some minimal research and then tries to bluff his way into a conversation with Ashland Locke’s (Richard Burgi) lawyer, Jesse, by pretending that John Abbott once did business with his dad.
Jesse doesn’t fall for it, and Ashland doesn’t fall for Billy’s baiting him about television stations in New Jersey…which used to be owned by Ashland’s late mentor. Since she was an older woman, Ashland obviously took advantage of her. The relationship couldn’t have been just business, just friendship, or she was using him. You know how desperate and dumb those older women are.
Later, Ashland tells Jesse he’ll pay his blackmail…on the installment plan. Jesse threatens him some more. Pay up, or Jesse sells the story of how Ashland managed to buy his first stations straight to Billy.
Y&R Recap: All Good
Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) once again asks Victoria (Amelia Heinle) if she’s sure about marrying Ashland. Victoria says yes, she’s sure. Glad we covered that. For today. Victoria loves Ashland and she knows he’s planning a big surprise for her. She overheard him on the phone.
Young and the Restless: Move Along
Nick (Joshua Morrow) is also continuing the deep dive into Ashland’s past. Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) thinks he should drop it. It will upset Victoria. And keep Nick’s attention away from her. Nobody wants that. Nick takes advantage to convince Phyllis to coach Christian’s football team. Phyllis would rather bring the snacks and clap. And investigate Ashland. The two agree to play Nick and Nora.
