The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, October 9, 2020, features Nick taking on Victoria for Phyllis’ sake, Lily taking on Victor for Billy’s sake, and Elena beating up herself.
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) vows that she won’t tell Nick (Joshua Morrow) her problems because she doesn’t want him swooping in to save her. This lasts about 10 seconds. Then Phyllis tells Nick her problems and he swoops in to save her.
Nick goes to Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and chastises her for buying up Phyllis’s loans and for teaming up with Billy (Jason Thompson) to bring down Adam (Mark Grossman). He accuses her of acting like their brother… and their father. Yeah, Victoria, how dare you act like the boys! It’s unladylike! Nick storms out.
Meaningless Chatter
Victor (Eric Braeden) comes upon Lily (Christel Khalil) and Billy. First, he grumbles at Billy. Billy reminds Victor he is totally powerless these days. Next, he tries buttering up Lily, before vaguely threatening her. Lily is more polite than Billy, but she basically tells Victor the same thing: Victoria sold Newman Communications to Chancellor Corp. Victor has no leverage over her.
I’d Die For You, I’d Die For You
Devon (Bryton James) proves that he can never see the woman he loves clearly as he can’t stop telling Elena (Brytni Sarpy) how she is the kindest, the most amazing, the most honest woman who ever walked the Earth. (Remember, Saint Hilary is no longer walking the Earth.) Elena feels terrible. Because of that whole slept with Nate (Sean Dominic) at the clinic thing.
At the same time, Nate is turning down a date with Amanda (Mishael Morgan). Amanda, in turn, turns down Phyllis asking her to help sue Victoria. Amanda reminds her she’s exclusive with Chancellor. Phyllis promises not to tell. Uh, no, Phyllis. That’s not how lawyering works. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
