The Young and the Restless seems to be falling back on old habits… and couples, as it reunites Adam and Chelsea, and Nick and Phyllis.

But what about really mixing things up a bit. And, no, we don’t mean Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) – again, or Adam (Mark Grossman) and Sharon (Sharon Case) – again.

We mean something completely different. Like Nick… and Lily (Christel Khalil). Almost 6,000 fans told us what you’d think about that.

We’ve Got This Problem Licked

That’s a hard pass, 73% advise. We know Lily has a thing for guys she can’t trust. But Nick is untrustworthy in a different way from Cane (Daniel Goddard). Cane cheated on Lily a few times. Nick cheats as a lifestyle choice. It’s what he does. And Lily doesn’t need the heartache.

On the other hand, Nick likes his women either untamable like Phyllis (Michelle Stafford), or milquetoast, like Sharon. And Lily really isn’t either.

In fact, Lily isn’t much of anything. She flits from career to career. She flits from man to man. She flits from town to town. She’d not worth getting attached to.

Finger Licking Good

Only 27% of The Young and the Restless fans are intrigued by the idea of Victor’s (Eric Braeden) son and Neil’s (Kristoff St. John) daughter. They’ve both had some crappy relationships. But who in Genoa City hasn’t?

They’re both at loose ends in their lives. She with her kids off to college and a new job alongside Billy (Jason Thompson), who is not the world’s easiest person to get along with.

He with a what he swears is a temporary move back into the CEO chair at Newman Enterprises, an ex-wife going through a medical crisis – and thus too busy to indulge him – and another ex hooking up with the brother he hates. So, sure, why not? Could do them both good. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
