The Young and the Restless Recap: Massive Mistakes, Impulsive Moves

The Young and the Restless recap for September 28-October 2, 2020, features most of Genoa City talking about Despicable Adam, and many residents making questionable decisions.

The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights

In uncertain times such as these, a little certainty is always welcome. Billy (Jason Thompson) is certainly in the hot seat for publishing that aptly titled “Making of a Monster” profile castigated Adam (Mark Grossman) for his plethora of misdeeds.

Adam is certainly pissed off that anyone would stoop so low as to list each and every one of his individual crimes and commit them to paper. Victor is certainly just as furious that his demands for the article’s retraction and an apology have yet to be met. And Victoria (Amelia Heinle) is certainly uncertain as to whether or not she’s proud of her actions.

Meanwhile, Nicholas (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case) are certainly perturbed that Faith’s (Alyvia Alyn Lind) long ago kidnapping at the hands of her Uncle has been dredged up for story fodder. And Faith certainly has terrible taste in friends…unless she has the contact information for every bully who goes to her school. And that would most certainly be weird.

Finally, lest there be any doubt, Amanda (Mishael Morgan) is certainly related to Hilary. Now she’s desperate to find out anything and everything about her sister. Lord knows that Hilary was certainly a contradictory character, so Amanda’s got her work cut out for her. And that’s for certain!

YR Musings

New beginnings often disguise themselves as painful endings. Well, Lola (Sasha Calle) painfully ended her relationship with Theo (Tyler Johnson) so let’s hope she gets a new, less tantrum-filled beginning.

And speaking of painful endings, did we just witness the undoing of Elena (Brytni Sarpy) and Devon’s (Bryton James) budding romance? We’re pretty sure that’s what those “dueling” shadows on the wall were up to but it certainly pays to make double sure.

Back in 1996, Titanic – the film, not the actual doomed cruise liner – introduced the world to The Heart of the Ocean, a much sought after blue diamond pendant. Now, YR has its own in-demand, fancifully-named bauble complete with a labyrinthine history.

The Teardrop of Love, an antique emerald necklace, was once the prized possession of an Italian Princess. A coup against the palace resulted in the necklace plundering, and over the centuries, it would appear in and disappear from, such far-flung locations as Morocco, Salzburg, and Tokyo. At the onset of World War II, it came into the possession of a reclusive Chicago millionaire’s son.

Then it somehow made its way to Dina’s (Marla Adams) jewelry box. Luckily Victor will soon be able to point the Abbott siblings towards the necklace’s current location…but does anyone out there in the audience actually care? The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
