The Young and the Restless Recap October 12 2020
The Young and the Restless recap for Monday, October 12, 2020, finds a disheveled Kyle crying over his runaway bride, while Chelsea defends herself to Adam and also defends Adam to Chloe. Plus, Jack continues on his wild goose chase, and Rey gets a shocking proposal.
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) stops yelling at her accountant about Victoria (Amelia Heinle) long enough to yell at Kyle (Michael Mealor) about eloping with Summer (Hunter King). A sad-faced Kyle admits that Summer ran out on him – maybe she doesn’t love him, sob, sob! (We can almost see Lola playing the world’s tiniest violin for him. Kyle must have thought she would, so he goes to see her.) Phyllis goes back to yelling at her accountant. Then she goes to yell at Jack (Peter Bergman).
Jack, meanwhile, is playing jewel detective with Lauren (Tracey Bregman). She promises to get him the brooch he wants for Dina. Then she tells Jack he should date more. Oh, look, here’s Phyllis! She wants to tell Jack how much his son sucks.
Adam (Mark Grossman) accuses Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) of losing faith in him because she’s tired of their being the town pariahs and wants to move closer to Connor. Why isn’t she backing him unconditionally as she did before?
Chelsea visits Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson), home from the hospital with her newborn son that she has bravely allowed Kevin (Greg Rikaarts) to name. (She just hopes it won’t be Baby Fortnite.) Chelsea confesses to Chloe that she and Adam are having problems. Chloe has a solution: Dump the bum!
No, no, Chelsea says, I love him. Then she goes to Billy and tells him that since he’s responsible for her sending Connor away, she wants to spend time with Johnny, the son whom she previously never even bothered to inquire about.
Adam bumps into Sharon (Sharon Case), and whines about how nobody understands him as she does. Oh, and he never stopped loving Sharon. But Sharon promised Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) she wouldn’t get sucked back into the Newman drama. To make sure that doesn’t happen, Sharon pops the question to Rey!
