The Young and the Restless recap for Monday, September 14, 2020, features Adam setting Sharon free, Nikki telling Victoria that Daddy knows best, Jack warning Billy, Kyle and Summer taking the next step, and Lola pushing Theo away.
Adam (Mark Grossman) proves what a blameless saint he is by generously letting Sharon (Sharon Case) out of her commitment to treating him. Sharon admits she’s afraid of losing Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) over this, and she needs his support now as she goes through breast cancer treatment. Adam plays the martyr, and Sharon watches him go… longingly.
Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) wants Victoria (Amelia Heinle) to see Victor’s (Eric Braeden) side of his ongoing defense of Adam. Victoria isn’t interested.
Jack (Peter Bergman) wants Billy (Jason Thompson) to see the danger in running Alyssa’s story and exposing Adam and Victor’s past crimes to the world. Billy isn’t interested. Jack asks Billy to at least think of Victoria.
Billy has been thinking of Victoria – she’s his partner in this whole thing. Billy is proud of Vicky for finally getting some of her own back instead of constantly forgiving Victor. Yeah, this will likely last until his next health crises… just like all the other times.
Lola (Sasha Calle) keeps being snippy to Theo (Tyler Johnson) until she gets him to admit he enjoys dating Kyle’s (Michael Mealor) ex. Theo points out that Lola has admitted to getting off on sticking it to Kyle, too. But Lola insists she feels bad about it, so that makes her morally superior.
Kyle and Lola are also talking in circles, only to realize they’ve accidentally gotten engaged. But they’ll keep it a secret for now. Yup, that’s how you know a relationship is solid. When you’re afraid to tell anybody about it.
