The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, May 1, 2020 winds up a week of Katherine the Great episodes with a classic rerun from May 4, 2009. Kay was getting ready to marry Murphy, as Jill railed drunkenly against it, and Nikki and Jack worried about where Ashley stands with Victor, while Billy blamed Cane for… everything.
Kay (Jeanne Cooper) was excited to marry Murphy (Michael Fairman), the, as Jill (Jess Walton) so eloquently called him, “trailer trash” who she bonded with during her most recent kidnapping. But what Jill was really upset about was that Kay, who wasn’t even believed to be her Mommy anymore, didn’t love her enough.
Kay reminded her that Jill the one who moved out of the Chancellor mansion. Jill pouted that Kay let her. Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) tried to make peace but got yelled at.
So Nikki went to chat with Ashley (Eileen Davidson) about how Victor (Eric Braeden) is still mourning his dead wife, Sabrina. Forgot about Sabrina? She was a school friend of Victoria’s who fell in love with Victor because… who’s an old man? Not our Victor!
She even got pregnant to prove how manly and virile he still was. But then she died. And hasn’t been mentioned since. Except during this episode, when Nikki swore to Jack (Peter Bergman) that she was all for her ex-husband hooking up with his ex-wife again… but is Jack sure Ashley isn’t cracking up again? Just wondering…
Billy (Billy Miller) accused Cane (Daniel Goddard) of resenting Billy for having proven to be Delia’s real father, so he hired Mac to work as a bartender at a place Billy went to drink. Even though they’re not cousins anymore, he still can’t have her, because he’s married to Chloe (Elizabeth Henrickson). Cane basically told Billy to get over himself.
