The Young and the Restless recap for Monday, August 2, 2021, sees Jack Abbott going from Tara Locke to Sally Spectra, looking for an honest (wo)man, while Phyllis Summers is surprisingly frank with Nick Newman, and Ashland Locke welcomes Victoria Newman into their new life.
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Jack (Peter Bergman) asked Tara (Elizabeth Leiner) if he might find out anything about her that will make him regret inviting her into his life. Tara honestly tells him she can’t predict what he might learn and how he might feel about it.
Sally (Courtney Hope) asks Jack why he’s so willing to believe the worst about her. Jack counters that it’s not that he believes it, it’s that he’s afraid that he might believe it. And he can’t live with the risk. Ah, now we think we have a better sense of why a rich, hot guy like Jack is still single. He’s looking for a vestal virgin.
Y&R Recap: Coast to Coast
In New York City, Ashland (Richard Burgi) welcomes Victoria (Amelia Heinle) to his penthouse and explains how he’s going to break with his past by putting both it and the Hamptons house up for sale.
In Genoa City, Kyle (Michael Mealor) can’t understand why Tara might be upset by that and thinks he’s being clever when he says that if it weren’t for him, Tara might be homeless.
The woman owns a multinational company that she was just talking business with Lauren (Tracey Bregman) about. We think she could have scrounged up the down payment for a hotel room.
Young and the Restless: Voice Of Reason
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) is shocked when Nick (Joshua Morrow) declines to get on the poor, abused Summer (Hunter King) train and insists their daughter seems happy, and maybe Phyllis is projecting.
Phyllis doesn’t care if Summer wouldn’t want her to dig into her employment. This isn’t about Summer! Well, it is. But it isn’t. She’s off to L.A.! Nick says, cool, I’m coming too. I don’t need to run my business. Who cares if poor people ever get homes. Phyllis says, stay, and keep spying for me!
