The Young and the Restless Recap: Gloria Makes Herself At Home

The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, January 22 blows the winds of change across Genoa City, as Gloria informs Kevin what he’ll be doing for her, Sally learns what Summer is doing to her, and Chelsea has suspicions about what Adam might be thinking of doing – to her, and to Sharon.

The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights

Gloria (Judith Chapman) is furious that Kevin (Greg Rikaart) destroyed a flash drive that contained information she was planning to use to blackmail the Newmans. How dare her son try to keep her from committing a criminal act!

Gloria will never, ever forgive Kevin for this! He’d better make this up to her, and pronto. Gloria will move in with Kevin and Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson), and she’ll expect him to buy her the very best of everything. Oh, and she informs Jack (Peter Bergman) that she’s back in town. She’ll be expecting things from him, as well.

Digging Up the Dirt

Summer (Hunter King) couldn’t be more giddy! Her trip to Los Angeles has dredged up enough gossip to keep Sally (Courtney Hope) “in her place” once she and Kyle (Michael Mealor) get back home. How dare someone with a less blue-blooded background than a Newman think for a moment that she could dream of reaching the same gilded echelon. Summer knows a trashy social climber when she sees one!

Back in Genoa City, Lauren (Tracy Bregman) is thrilled with Sally’s business proposal and puts her in charge of the project. We’ll just wait to see what Princess Summer has to say about that!

Secret Plot

Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) can’t speak on the outside, but she sure has a lot to say on the inside! We are privy to her thoughts as Chelsea is convinced Adam (Mark Grossman) and Sharon (Sharon Case) are carrying on behind her back! The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS.
