The Young and the Restless recap for Tuesday, August 18, 2020 features a day all about girl power as Adam leaves his life in Chelsea’s hands, Rey lets Sharon make her own decisions, Nick supports Phyllis, and Kyle listens to the imaginary Lola in his head.

The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights

Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) is unhappy about Sharon (Sharon Case) counseling Adam (Mark Grossman). Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) is unhappy about Adam seeking counseling from Sharon. Both try to convince their significant others this is a bad idea, reminding them that the last time Adam and Sharon crossed boundaries, bad things happened.

Rey tells Sharon that he will obey her wishes and support her on her new job. Adam tells Chelsea that if she’s uncomfortable with him getting therapy in order to remember exactly what happened the night of AJ’s death, then he won’t do it. She’s not comfortable, Chelsea says. Don’t do it.

Dino Days

Planting dinosaur bones on Abby’s (Melissa Ordway) worksite isn’t enough for Phyllis (Michelle Stafford). She also plays a dino videogame with Nick (Joshua Morrow). They are such a wacky, whimsical couple! Then she tells Nick that she has an idea for an all-woman spa.

Nick tells her that it’s a great idea (as if those don’t already exist by the dozen across the country… but since most of them are closed due to COVID-19, maybe she is on to something). They are such a supportive couple! Nothing will ever break them apart!

Young Guns

Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Mariah (Camryn Grimes) have a profound discussion wherein they determine that life can be going well, then something bad will happen. You’d almost think they don’t know they live in a soap opera.

Kyle decides to call a truce with Theo (Tyler Johnson), reminding him that they are family. Theo accepts. Kyle is happy that Lola (Sasha Calle) is getting over him. He figured he’d be harder to get over. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
