The Young and the Restless Recap January 8 2021
The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, January 8, 2021, concludes the first full week of the new year with Summer and Kyle giving Billy and Lily the big chill, while Amanda feels frozen out by her long-lost family, and there’s a thaw in Elena and Nate’s relationship.
Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Summer (Hunter King) believe it’s their God-given right to take the family jet to Los Angeles, where they intend to expose Sally (Courtney Hope). Billy (Jason Thompson) and Lily (Christel Khalil) believe it’s their God-given right to take the family jet to Seattle, where they have some business to wrap up. Only losers fly commercial, duh.
Billy convinces Kyle to share the trip to the West Coast. Kyle fumes. While he’s busy fuming about that, Summer fumes that Sally found out they were going to LA. She’s convinced that woman is out to destroy her! Well, Summer will destroy her first! Can you imagine what kind of world we’d be living in if a nobody like Sally thought she had a God-given right to private jet travel, too? As if!
Amanda’s (Mishael Morgan) half-sister, Maya, warned her to stay away from their mother, Naya. But Amanda wasn’t feeling it. Despite Devon (Bryton James) trying to convince her to try and see the situation from Maya and Naya’s points of view, Amanda storms off to confront the family who abandoned her.
Lily offers Nate (Sean Dominic) a job as the poster child for the medical website Chancellor Communications is about to launch. She must have interviewed hundreds of candidates and reviewed thousands of resumes before deciding to hire her cousin!
Nate is still thinking about that, but he’s made up his mind – he wants Elena (Brytni Sarpy) and he’s tired of being subtle about it. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
