The Young and the Restless Recap: David Hits the End Of the Road

The Young and the Restless recap for Monday, May 25, 2020, kicks off a week of classic villains by following up on the costume ball of October 7, 1991. You already saw David plotting evilly. Now watch him get the beginning of his end! Plus, Brad and Traci faced a difficult decision, and Jack and Victor co-parent!

The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights

David (Michael Corbett) first married Nina (Tricia Cast) for her money, then moved onto her mother, Flo. When everyone learned what a bastard he really was, David was presumed dead. He wasn’t. Is anyone on soaps ever really dead? David went to a plastic surgeon for a new face. He wanted to look like David Hasselhoff. (Before he was Knight Rider – or a singing star in Germany – Hasselhoff played Jill’s brother, Snapper, on YR.)

Alas, instead of coming out looking all Baywatch-y, David woke up to learn that the surgeon had carved KILLER into David’s forehead. This did not improve David’s mood. He decided he had no choice but to go on a killing spree. And where better than Genoa City’s costume ball? When he was cornered, he jumped down a garbage chute — and well, we know the rest. Trash compactor time.

Don’t Do Me Any Favors

Ashley (Brenda Epperson) wondered if Brad (Don Diamont) would reunite with Traci (Beth Maitland). Brad’s lips were sealed. He wanted to tell Traci first. Especially now that he knew she’s pregnant.

Meanwhile, Traci worried that she’s miscarrying — and didn’t tell Brad. Because she doesn’t want him feeling obliged to return to her because he’s sorry for her loss – or because she’s having his baby. Traci is so good and upstanding and noble, she would never force a man to do something he didn’t want to.

Playing Dad

Victor (Eric Braeden) woke Jack (Peter Bergman) up at home to find out if Victoria (Heather Tom) is still hanging out with Ryan (Scott Reeves). Jack didn’t know. He’s asleep (with Nikki next to him, take that, Victor!). Victor wanted Jack to go check. And play the bad guy. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS.
