The Young and the Restless recap for Wednesday, June 23, 2021, finds Billy skipping through Genoa City dropping threats, while Phyllis tries to figure out what’s going on with Summer. Kyle is wondering that, as well.
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Having been given a job by his mommy and failing at buying a media company, Billy (Jason Thompson) obviously feels a pressing need to prove what a big and important mogul he is. First, he throws some threats Adam’s (Mark Grossman) way. He’s surprised when Nick (Joshua Morrow) comes to his brother’s defense.
Then, when he spies Ashland (Richard Burgi) in conversation with Victoria (Amelia Heinle), he decides to give him a warning as well. When the older man blows him off, Billy drops in on Victoria at the office. He tells her ChanceComm is about to publish a major story on the Locke divorce, and he’ll be dragging Victoria into it.
Billy may hate his former father-in-law – and, really, who doesn’t? But he sure is acting a lot like Victor (Eric Braeden), these days.
‘Fess Up
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) pushes Summer (Hunter King) to tell her why she’s having such a hard time deciding between Kyle (Michael Mealor) and her dream job in Italy. Her daughter keeps coming up with excuses.
Which her mother doesn’t buy. She complains to Nick, who she then swears to secrecy since she also promised Summer she’d keep the situation to herself. Is Phyllis just trying to offend everybody who loves her? Luckily, there’s no love lost between Phyllis and Tara (Elizabeth Leiner) as they trade barbs about how happy Harrison is in his new Abbott home.
Kyle, meanwhile, innocently sits at Society, waiting for Summer to show up so they can talk about their upcoming wedding. He wants her to tell him why she’s been so sad lately. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
