The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, October 8, 2021, continues the slow build to Ashland Locke and Victoria Newman’s wedding. Billy Abbott tries to convince Jesse Gaines to help him torpedo the ceremony, while Adam Newman checks in with Victor Newman about how to stop him. Meanwhile, Mariah Copeland denies Tessa Porter’s urgent pleas.
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Adam (Mark Grossman) demands to know if Billy (Jason Thompson) has Jesse (Jamison Jones) hidden in his apartment, but his ex-brother-in-law denies and eventually throws Adam out.
Now that he has Jesse’s story about how his father, Jesse Sr., helped Ashland (Richard Burgi) steal a fortune and use it to build his empire, Billy wants Jesse Jr. to come to Tuscany with him and expose Ashland.
Jesse is justifiably afraid of Ashland and Victor (Eric Braeden), both of whom paid him off, making him pay for the betrayal. But Billy convinces him it will be totes fun to bring down Ashland in person. OK, Jesse changes his mind on the fly.
Our Man In Genoa City
Adam calls Victor to fill him in on Billy’s plan to kibosh her wedding. He wants to know how far he should go to stop the two men. Funny, we don’t get to hear Victor’s answer to that.
At the same time, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) is so full of love for Ashland and the entire world that she suggests when Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) get married, they should use this location! Awkward, anyone?
Y&R Recap: Trip Advisor
Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) wants to get her and Mariah’s (Camryn Grimes) relationship back on track and begs her to come to Tuscany with her. Mariah says no. She can’t be away from Dominic – even if she can’t see him. Mariah suggests that Tessa stay home with her, instead. Tessa says that would be unprofessional. And they both go back to their original, separate plans.
