The Young and the Restless recap for November 9-13, 2020, features a whole bunch of characters learning a hard life lesson: life is unpredictable.
No matter what precautions you take, there’s always a chance that something will go wrong. Adam (Mark Gorssman) thought that he had the perfect plan to finally rid himself of Victor (Eric Braeden) and whichever siblings might be flocking to his side, but his plan to do “something” nasty to Newman Tower didn’t go as planned.
Chance thought it would be fine to confront his old buddy and attempt to persuade him to come back from the dark side and reveal what exactly he’d done with Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan). Then he went and got shot in the gut – by a bullet meant for Adam!
Abby (Melissa Claire Egan) thought that the only issue she’d have to deal with in the months leading up to her wedding was exactly what kind of ceremony she wanted. Then she learned that her intended groom was knocking on death’s door. And just when it seemed that doctor’s had him stabilized, Chance developed a life threatening staph infection.
In the aftermath of her kidnapping ordeal, Chelsea thought what she really needed was police protection. Then Adam swung by, claimed he was really, really sorry, and begged her for a millionth chance to “prove himself.” And she seemed to fall for his bull, hook line, and sinker. That’s just plain wrong.
And speaking of wrong, Sharon (Sharon Case) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) are really going to have to address their failings as parents. When Phyllis (Michelle Stafford), of all people, can see that Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) is in need of some serious attention, you know that the problem is real and immediate.
Theo (Tyler Johnson) is on the warpath and ready to take the Abbott family to court over the contents of Dina’s (Marla Adams) will. And you know what? He’s got every right to feel a certain way. That family has treated him like trash since day one – so many promises, zero follow through. Here’s hoping for success in his endeavors.
While we’re on the subject of Theo, anybody else out there disappointed that Sally (Courtney Hope) declined to join scheming forces? And now that she’s been denied an instant promotion at Fenmore’s, do you think she’ll rethink the offer?
Are you Team Nate (Sean Dominic) or Team Devon (Bryton James)? And who do you think is the right man for Elena (Brytni Sarpy)? She clearly has no idea who she’d like to have, hence her plea for Nate to stick around on the off chance she can’t convince Devon to take her back. Classy.
Devon: “You know, I remember Katherine, years ago, got ordained so she could officiate a ceremony. So, if figure if my grandmother can do it, so can I.” Let’s hope that Abby and Chance have better luck than Daniel Ramalotti (Michael Graziadei) and Amber Moore (Adrienne Frantz).
