The Young and the Restless recap for Thursday, September 30, 2021, winds down the month with Ashland Locke stepping up to tell Victoria Newman and Nicholas Newman how he got his fake name, while Sharon Rosales drops by to check up on Mariah Copeland, and Devon Hamilton and Amanda Sinclair take an unusual interest in Moses Winters and Faith Newman’s delayed date.
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Victoria (Amelia Heinle) tags along when Nick (Joshua Morrow) demands to see Ashland (Richard Burgi). This leads to Ashland confessing that he switched identities with his best friend, who died in a car crash. How this changes anything, we’re not sure.
Ashland already said he ran away from home and changed his name. This is an extra detail, it doesn’t contradict anything he said before. And it doesn’t tell the Newmans anything about the woman who funded Ashland’s first few stations, which is what they thought was shady in the first place.
Victoria appears to agree, as the person she’s furious with isn’t Ashland – it’s Nick, who can’t believe that he’s the one she’s mad at. And then she runs off. And then she’s furious with Ashland. And then Nick shows up. And she’s furious with him again.

Y&R Recap: Move On
Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) leaves their hotel room so Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Sharon (Sharon Case) can have a mother/daughter chat. Sharon suggests Mariah move back in with her. At the same time, Abby Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) is telling Tessa how much she misses having them at the house with her. So many home offers for them!
Young and the Restless: Kid Stuff
Devon (Bryton James) and Amanda (Mishael Morgan) are dressed up and ready to head out on a date of their own, but Moses (Jacob Aaron Gaines) and Faith (Reylynn Caster) stop by because he forgot something.
This is somehow fascinating to the adults, who decide to stick around and talk about it. They wait so long that, by the time they make it to Society, Amanda has to run off to take care of her sick mother. So Devon and Abby hang out.
