The Young and the Restless recap for Tuesday, August 3, 2021, suggests that Jack Abbott and Kyle Abbott have finally bought a clue, while Sally Spectra and Tara Locke deal with the fallout. Plus, Victor Newman stuns Adam Newman, and Ashland Locke proposes to Victoria Newman.
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) gets the whole story from Eric Forrester (John McCook) about how Sally (Courtney Hope) got Summer Newman (Hunter King) her dream job in Europe. Phyllis snaps a selfie of herself with Eric and Summer’s boss and sends it to Sally. Sally freaks but covers in front of Lauren (Tracey Bregman), who tells Sally her job is now permanent.
Meanwhile, Jack (Peter Bergman) forces Kyle (Michael Mealor) to consider that Tara (Elizabeth Leiner) used Harrison to drive Summer out of town. Tara overhears Kyle leaving a loving message for Summer and stomps over to meet Sally, where they freak out together. But also cast aspersions on who screwed up.
Y&R Recap: It’s Personal
Adam (Mark Grossman) has a super-cool idea to steal employees from the new Newman-Ashland Media Empire for Newman Media. Victor (Eric Braeden) says no, he’s suddenly all about supporting Victoria’s (Amelia Heinle) decision because she made a gutsy move Daddy approves of.
He lectures Adam about how you never go after family. Adam is understandably confused, as he’s seen Victor go after family… all the time. Including Victoria. Including him. Victor says they should target Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), instead. Because he’s not his grandchildren’s father?
Young and Restless: Heading To the Chapel
Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) whisks Victoria away to New York, where they eat take-out and watch a movie made before either was born, but claim they had crushes on the leads growing up. (Possible, but unlikely.) Now that the romantic holiday mood has been set, Ashland proposes to Victoria.
