The Young and the Restless recap for Monday, May 24, 2021, is an early father’s day as Jack learns he’s a grandfather, Victor gives Amanda news about her father, and Ashland compares his parenthood to Phyllis’s.
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Kyle (Michael Mealor) swallows the tears he always seems to be on the verge of shedding and tells Jack (Peter Bergman) that Harrison is his son. Jack is overwhelmed, but thrilled.
He is excited to welcome Tara (Elizabeth Leiner) and Harrison to the Jabot mansion, where he does terrify the tot a little by encouraging him to make as much little boy noise as he likes. Kyle, meanwhile, is setting up a DNA test. Before anybody gets too attached.
Other Side Of Town
Summer (Hunter King) tells Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) that Kyle is telling Jack about Harrison and moving his baby mama and son into his family home. This puts Phyllis in a cranky mood when Ashland (Richard Burgi) comes storming into the hotel, demanding to speak to his wife and waving around a court order for Harrison.
He tries to forge a connection by telling Phyllis he loves his son as much as she obviously loves his daughter. This reminds Phyllis to threaten Ashland about hurting Summer. Because, obviously, she’s the one destined to suffer the most in this situation, not a 3-year-old child.
Grandfathered In
Victor (Eric Braeden) tells Amanda (Karla Mosley) that her father worked for him, and came to Victor for help in finding his long-lost daughter. Amanda is deeply shaken, and Devon (Bryton James) has some trouble believing him. Victor tells Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) what a great guy he was, helping Rick.
Nikki absolutely believes him. Victor wonders why Amanda seemed so shaken by the news. Amanda calls Naya (Ptosha Storey) for some answers. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
