Is Adam (Mark Grossman) a cold-blooded killer or Hope’s (Signy Coleman) white knight? That’s the question that the youngest Newman hoped to answer by traveling to Kansas and forcing himself to remember exactly what transpired the night that AJ Montalvo died.

And he came to the startling conclusion that the answer just might be option one. He didn’t exactly feel bad about shoving AJ to his death all those years ago. And if he was incapable of feeling remorse for taking a man’s life when he was 11 years old, what chance does he have at being a good and decent human being in the here and now?

Sharon (Sharon Case) would like to help him explore that conundrum – but first, she had got to convince a hysterical Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) that she wasn’t interested in hooking up with her man. She has perfectly goo detective all her own back at the ranch, thank you very much, Miss Lawson.

Ladies Day

If at first, you do succeed, repeat the steps that lead to your success? A number of years ago, YR presented a much-heralded, all-female episode featuring the lovely ladies of Genoa City living it up at a day-spa.

The show repeated the same stunt this week – with one slight adjustment. Thanks to Nick (Joshua Morrow) playing errand boy, there was just a hint of testosterone. But aside from that brief male indulgence, Tuesday was all about girl-power and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) pilot testing her “Escape Club” venture.

Lily (Christel Khalil) and Traci (Beth Maitland) sipped tea, dined on tiny sandwiches, and had yet another good long cry over the long-dead Colleen. (Lily really needs to get a new best friend and stat).

Elena (Brytni Sarpy) and Amanda (Mishael Morgan) bonded and decided to become girlfriends – just like in the movies. Summer (Hunter King) played video games and discovered that the world didn’t stop just because she didn’t have her cell phone clutched in her hand 24/7.

Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) got to present her own private concert and Abby (Melissa Ordway)…she got to yell at some stationary cameras and rip one out of the wall. Oh, and she got some free champagne. Yay?

All in all, the night was a resounding success and Phyllis got each of the attendees to contribute finically to the club. Yes, even Abby.

Twentysomething

Despite some reservations, Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Summer made plans to move in together. Lola (Sasha Calle) slept with Theo (Tyler Johnson) without hesitation but then she couldn’t decide if she liked it or not.

What she was sure of, however, was her displeasure over Kyle and Summer playing house. And she certainly didn’t want to discuss the matter with Theo. Grouchy is not a good look on Sasha. It’s more Mariah’s (Camryn Grimes) color.

Poison Pen For Billy

Billy (Jason Thompson) might not know a whole lot about what makes a good story – Traci’s the writer in that family – but even he can recognize the potential in an expose about Victor (Eric Braeden), his prodigal son, and a long-ago murder.

If only he had a pesky little thing like proof. For some reason he just can’t rely solely on Victoria’s (Amelia Heinle) say so. Damn you ethical and legal quagmires! Now Billy will have to actually put some effort in. The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
