The Young and the Restless Recap: Abby Is Getting Her Second Chance

The Young and the Restless recap for Monday, November 29, 2021, is the answer to Abby Chancellor’s prayers, while Jack Abbott and Phyllis Summers both explain why they are totes not getting back together, and Victor Newman feels a need to express his opinion, whether or not he’s been asked.

The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights

Abby (Melissa Ordway) was about to try and whine her way into getting answers about a missing Chance (Conner Floyd) when her presumed-dead husband just wanders out of the backroom and reveals himself. Yay! He’s alive!

Chance is happy to see his wife but then chastises her for putting his entire mission in danger. Then he gets over it and looks at Abby’s photos of little Dominic. Abby wants to be told everything about what’s going on. Chance monologues. Abby is shocked to learn that authorities sometimes withhold information from citizens! Chance refuses to come home.

Meanwhile, Victor (Eric Braeden) is over at Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James), expounding on why Devon shouldn’t feel bad about not stopping Abby from going on a Chance hunt. If Victor couldn’t do it, obviously no other mortal could have, so it’s all good.

Denial Is a River in Egypt

Jack (Peter Bergman) explains to Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) why he isn’t thinking about getting back together with Phyllis (Michelle Stafford). She just got out of a relationship with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), for one thing. Ashley points out that Phyllis is always getting out of a relationship with Nicholas.

What You See Isn’t What You Get

Phyllis explains to Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) why she isn’t thinking about getting back together with Jack. First, she insists that she only loves him as a friend. Lawyer Amanda isn’t buying it.

She pushes and pushes – some would say she leads the witness – until Phyllis admits yeah, she does love Jack! He accepts her for who she is – unlike Nick! (Isn’t that exactly what she was saying about Nick only a few months ago?)
