The Young and the Restless recap for Monday, December 1, 2021, kicks off the last month of 2021 with Jill Foster Abbott Atkinson blasting Victor Newman over what he did to her son, her son blasting his partner over her suggestion that he might take second place to anyone, and Abby Chancellor whining her way to victory.
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Jill (Jess Walton) offered Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) the chance to take the top spot at Chancellor Industries – which will give her something to do once Jill sells Chance Comm to Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi).
A tipsy Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) came home and Jill left the couple to discuss her offer. She ended up running into Victor (Eric Braeden). He made small talk about family and parenthood. She skewered him for jerking around her son. Victor is shocked. Shocked! He has no idea what she’s talking about. And then he blames the victim.
Meanwhile, Lily tells Billy about Jill’s offer, and assures him she can’t wait for them to run Chancellor Industries together. With her? Well…more like…under her. Billy spirals into self-pity. Proving he has not been taken over by aliens. He’s still Billy. He goes off to fume at Jill.
Y&R Recap: Homecoming
While Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) brainstorm about how they can go over Chance’s (Conner Floyd) head and make him come home, whether he wants to or not, Abby (Melissa Ordway) pouts and furrows her brow, explaining why Chance’s sense of responsibility to his colleagues isn’t nearly as important as his responsibility to give Abby her way immediately. Chance sees her point.
Abby then puts Ashley and Jack on the task of notifying her family members that she’s coming home – without telling Victor or Jill that Chance is alive. At least she generously lets Nina (Tricia Cast) and Phillip III know that their son has been found…safe and mostly sound.
