The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, October 23, 2020, finds Adam trying to play two ends against the middle – which ends up with everybody losing all around. Plus, Amanda loses and Elena finds.
Adam (Mark Grossman), who sniffles to Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Sharon (Sharon Case) about how he wishes he could stop hurting everyone around him, feels no such compulsion when he runs into Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) and needles him about how he’s the wrong man for Sharon. And who might be the right man for Sharon, Rey may ask? Why, Adam, of course!
He may be the right man, but he is definitely at the wrong place at the wrong time, as Chelsea overhears Adam’s boast and finally gets a clue that maybe this is not the right guy for her. She packs up her bags and Chelsea is out of there! Start the countdown to Adam running crying to Sharon… now.
Shame Sharon is busy. She and Rey are setting a wedding date after he presents her with a ring. It’ll be New Year’s Eve! Nothing could possibly go wrong before then!
Elena (Brytni Sarpy) is cutting ties with her past. She has moved out of Devon’s (Bryton James) place and finds a new roommate in Lola (Sasha Calle). She is also quitting the clinic, and nothing Nate (Sean Dominic) can say will stop her! Yes, yes, yes, she is dedicated to healing and her patients. But she just doesn’t feel like it anymore.
Meanwhile, after what could almost be seen as a date with Devon, Amanda (Mishael Morgan) gets a report on the woman who used to live next door to Amanda’s biological mother. And this neighbor doesn’t remember Rose ever being pregnant, especially not with twins…
