The Young and the Restless recap for Tuesday, July 7, 2020, takes fans on quite the roller-coaster ride of emotions as, after watching Cassie’s first appearance in Genoa City, then seeing her bond with Sharon and Nick, and seeing them celebrate winning custody of her, we are now forced to watch Sharon mourn her daughter.
(We also watched the episode when Sharon and Nick were convinced she was going to survive her car accident, and they even planned Cassie’s future. Sob!) But all is not lost this 4th of July from 2005, as Gloria plays hostess, JT plays dad, and Devon finds his mom!
Even as she can barely stop crying over losing Cassie (Camryn Grimes), Sharon (Sharon Case) takes Noah to the Abbott BBQ – alone. Nick (Joshua Morrow) is too busy chasing Daniel across the country (we saw that episode, too, remember?) with Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Neil (Kristoff St. John), who is after Lily (Christel Khalil). Good thing Brad (Don Diamont) is there to offer comfort!
Meanwhile, Gloria (Judith Chapman) is all about playing hostess – while worrying that the return of Terrible Tom (Roscoe Born) will end her reign as Mrs. Abbott.
JT (Thad Luckinbill) is doing old friend Brittany (Lauren Woodland) a solid by pretending to be the father of her unborn baby – rather than Bobby the strip club owner and perennial mob target. But now Mac wants JT back. How is he going to explain this little wrinkle?
Dru (Victoria Rowell) finally gets Devon (Bryton James) to spill the secret that’s been causing him such turmoil. He’s finally reconnected with his mother and he wants a relationship with her. That doesn’t mean he loves the Winters any less. Will that mean they’ll love him less? The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
