The Young and the Restless recap for Monday, December 30, 2019 finally brings Christmas to Genoa City, as Victor and Nikki welcomed a new child, Mariah and Tessa were the elves that saved Christmas, and Chelsea and Adam reminded Connor he’s the center of the universe yet again.
Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) found an abandoned baby at the ranch. (There were, however, no wise men around or camels to really drive home the metaphor.) They called Nate (Sean Dominic) and Elena (Brytni Sarpy) to check the infant out, since this requires two doctors and, well, they live to be at the Newmans’ beck and call, do they not?
Nate and Elena said the baby is fine and wanted to take her to Children’s Services. Nikki said no. So why did she call them?
Ranch security found a woman roaming the property and brought her in. She sobbed that she abandoned her baby because she thought the Newmans could give her a better life. Nikki announced that they will help this stranger. Everyone beamed. And got ready to forget her, like they’ve forgotten all the other homeless people they offered to help in previous years.
Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) and Mariah (Camryn Grimes) found a pile of presents. They were confused about who they belonged to and wanted to check for fingerprints when Theo (Tyler Johnson) suggested they read the tags. No wonder he’s a social media genius!
The tags said Newman Enterprises. Tessa and Mariah ruefully decided that “corporate brats” deserve Christmas too. Several of those brats are Mariah’s siblings but, whatevs. Victor said they’re for a children’s hospital. All rejoice! Theo claimed he had holiday plans. Turned out he didn’t.
Connor (Judah Mackey) found a stray cat. He brought it home and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Adam (Mark Grossman) worried that it would die and Connor would be traumatized forever. (They didn’t, however, worry that it had any diseases it could pass on.) The cat pulled through. All rejoiced!
Oh, and Chloe and Kevin helped out Santa Claus and brought him children to be kind to. Then, Chloe announced she’s pregnant. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
