Watching The Young and the Restless classic episodes reminds fans of how quickly children have a tendency to grow up in Genoa City. One day Victoria is a blue-eyed blonde toddler watching Mommy and Daddy get married, the next she’s a brown-haired, brown-eyed teen mouthing off to both of them.
The Young and the Restless Polling
The same goes for Nick, Noah, and Fen. So who should be next to have a growth spurt when the show returns? What almost 2,000 viewers had to say:
Losing Faith
A majority 54% think Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) is the prime candidate. At the moment, she’s either here nor there. Too old to be silent, adorable, and Victor (Eric Braeden) worshipping, too young to be a sexy vixen – or even a romantic good girl. Aging her a few years would open more story possibilities. For not just Faith, but Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case), too.
Reed in Deed
Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu) still makes periodic appearances, but 22% of the audience wants to see more of him. And they think the best way to do that is to make him old enough to challenge his mother, Victoria (Amelia Heinle), for Newman Enterprises. He could team up with Adam (Mark Grossman), even. That should get the sparks flying!
Dear Johnny
Sure, Johnny is cute now, but 16% suspect he’d be a lot more interesting if he were old enough to verbalize how angry he is at Victoria and Billy (Jason Thompson) for their on-again, off-again shenanigans. And to find out that Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) is his biological mother.
Teen Time
Only 8% voted for Katie to be SORAS-ed. Maybe it’s because Faith is a more logical choice and could fill the same niche. Or maybe it’s because nobody is ready for another mini-Victoria. Her mother is still acting immature enough for both of them. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
