They’re dropping like flies on The Young and the Restless (YR)! We all knew for decades that Ashley wasn’t John Abbott’s biological child.
But now Dina (Marla Adams) has started insisting that Jack (Peter Bergman) isn’t either. (They why, in her deteriorating state, does Dina keep confusing him for John? Shouldn’t she be confusing him for the lover that she now claims she could never forget?)
Ashley and Abby (Melissa Ordway) ran a sketchy DNA test that appeared to confirm Dina’s claims. But, they ran the test against Traci’s DNA, and for all we know Traci is also a result of one of Dina’s affairs.
So, does this mean Billy (Jason Thompson) is the only true Abbott scion on the canvas? Almost 12,000 watchers weighed in:
In the End, There Can Be Only One
Despite the brief period when it looked like Billy might be Victor’s (Eric Braeden) child – which would throw quite the monkey wrench into Billy/Victoria (Amelia Heinle) – he was ultimately determined to be John’s.
And 64% of you believe he’s the only one who is. Maybe the next time Jill (Jess Walton) and Dina throw down, Jill can throw that not insignificant fact in the superior-acting woman’s face.
You Missed One
Both the 35% of you who voted ‘No’, and the 1% who wrote in your thoughts, reminded us Traci (Beth Maitland) is somehow…different…
Dina hasn’t said anything about also cheating on John a third time and producing Traci.
Traci has always been nicer, sweeter, ad more morally upstanding than her siblings. Maybe that’s the part that John, and not cheating Dina and her sleazy lovers, put in.
In any case, you believe it’s too early to crown Billy the one and only heir. There is Traci, too, and if push comes to shove (sorry, Victor and Jack… and JT), she’ll fight to keep the Abbott empire within John’s original family.
