A triumphant 52% of the audience knew it all along. It was only logical. Victor couldn’t have done it. Victor never does anything bad. (And if he does, it’s for good reasons so – free pass.) Sure, Hope (Signey Coleman) could have done it. But she’s dead, so the pay-off would have been minimal. Adam was the obvious choice. Especially with how smug he was acting. You just knew Victor was sitting on information to wipe that smirk right off his face for good.

Hope Less
A smaller 40% of The Young and the Restless fans actually did think Hope had done it. Other than Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Connor (Judah Mackey), the only person Adam loves more than himself is Hope. If Victor was protecting Adam’s beloved mother, he’d have been forced to admit that Victor is the better man. Victor loves that. And Adam would have hated it. That’s how we do drama, kids!
Hopes Dashed
And then there was the optimistic 8% that were really hoping Victor did it. Remember what we said above about Victor never doing anything bad? That’s obviously not true. What we meant was, Victor never gets punished for doing anything bad. Wouldn’t it have been nice if this were an exception to the rule?
If Victor committed cold-blooded murder – and was forced to pay the price? Sure, in the end, it would have turned out he did it for Hope and Adam and even Hope’s husband, Cliff, because Victor is a prince of a guy.
