They came and they went so fast from The Young and the Restless that it was difficult to figure out what Arturo and Mia’s point was — except completely taking over the show for a few months.
Mia (Noemi Gonzalez) tried to break up Sharon (Sharon Case) and Rey (Jordi Vilasuso), and Arturo (Jason Canela) and Abby (Melissa Ordway), then announced she was pregnant with Arturo’s baby… upon which point the parents-to-be promptly left town. They had a baby boy in Florida. Yay?
Does the couple need to come back to finish what they started… or at least explain why they stared it in the first place? What over 5,000 had to say about the possibility:
Our long, national nightmare was finally over, 80% of you sigh. Why would anyone want to bring it back again? What happens in Florida should stay in Florida — and so should Mia and Arturo.
Nobody needs them. Sharon and Rey seem to be inching back together, while Abby doesn’t need a reminder of how Arturo screwed her over… especially with Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) plotting to do the same thing.
Maybe we don’t want Sharon and Rey back together, 17% of The Young and the Restless fans counter. Maybe we want Abby and Arturo to give it another shot. Hey, maybe we even want Lola (Sasha Calle) in the same town with the woman who tried to kill her. That’s called drama, folks. Mia may have been a lot of things… but averse to stirring up drama wasn’t one of them.
And then there are the 3% who are game for Arturo to return… but without Mia. Sleeping with his sister-in-law out of the blue never made much sense (and we learned about it in flashbacks). Maybe if he comes back to town, we — and Abby — could get to the bottom of that weirdness! The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
