The Young and the Restless
While Ana left Genoa City and hasn’t been back to visit her brother Devon on The Young and the Restless, actress Loren Lott has been making good use of her time during California’s stay-at-home order by creating some entertaining content. This Broadway star has some incredible pipes on her — and wait until you see (and hear) her latest effort.
While you got to hear her sing a few times as Ana, Lott spent some time in the hit Broadway show Once on This Island, killing it every night as Timoune — which this writer was lucky enough to have witnessed. Now the actress not only shows off her incredible voice — but also her comedic chops in this incredible “audition” she shared on Instagram.
“My audition to play Effie in Dreamgirls or a muse in Hercules[.] I mean you can stop auditioning now, I got the part 😂 Also, my moms a hater,” she wrote, along with hashtags like #ForcedToSingFriday — but her ability to overcome certain obstacles put forth by her mother may impress you even more as she dons an adorable tiara for the endeavor.
Essentially, her mom tries to get in on the fun by continually interrupting/bombing her audition as she sings And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going. She keeps coming up with new and creative ways (we won’t give away how she does it) to throw her daughter off — but nothing does! And it’s not like this is an easy song — it’s the showstopper from the legendary Broadway show.
Lott is absolutely incredible throughout! You will want to watch the entire video below. Perhaps when the show returns to making new episodes, it would be great for Devon’s sister to return to town and check up on him. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS.
