When she’s not playing Chloe on The Young and the Restless, Elizabeth Hendrickson is helping people feel pampered at her other business. Now she’s speaking out on the importance of small businesses surviving in this challenging era of COVID-19.
Elizabeth Hendrickson: Her Other Life
“If you didn’t know about my other life when I’m not being dramatic on the soap it’s my business i built with my dear friend @tschuppie,” says Hendrickson. Soap Hub wrote about the actress’s beauty salon, ELLIE AND SASS, back in 2017.
Hendrickson has taken a small step back from the business since giving birth to daughter Josephine James earlier this year. “While I’ve been on maternity leave, my partner has been doing the most killer job keeping our business afloat. Not all salons have this option.
“We are so thankful to have this outdoor space for our clients and are able to continue to serve our community AND provide jobs for our technicians,” adds Hendrickson. “Many salons do not have this option and are struggling. Reach out to your local businesses and purchase gift certificates or donate whatever you can to help them so you will have a salon to return to when this is all over. #supportsmallbusiness.”
Hendrickson made her soap opera scene debut back in 2001 on All My Children, where she played the dual roles of Maggie and Frankie. Next, she popped up as Chloe (nee Kate), the daughter of Esther (Kate Linder), on The Young and the Restless. After romancing Cane (Daniel Goddard) and Billy (Jason Thompson), Chloe settled down with Kevin (Greg Rikaart). In between YR stints, she played assertive attorney Margaux Dawson on General Hospital.
Chloe went to the dark side when she attempted to kill Adam (Mark Grossman) for him accidentally and fatally running over her daughter Delia (Sophie Pollono). Chloe went on to have another child, Bella, and is pregnant again. Kevin is the father of both Bella and Chloe’s unborn baby. The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS.
