The Young and the Restless Needs Traci Abbott To Mentor Sally Spectra

The Young and the Restless showed the fallout in Genoa City from Sally Spectra’s big win with designing Victoria Newman’s wedding dress. Lauren Fenmore Baldwin felt betrayed by her former employee, and we saw a glimpse of her mean girl past.

The Young And The Restless Needs A New Female Friendship

Lauren’s fit inspired Twitter user Matt Hanvey to imagine what could happen if the target of Lauren’s mean girl past, Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland), took Sally under her wing. We love the idea and can just imagine how it might play out. Traci’s late daughter Colleen Carlton and Sally (Courtney Hope) wouldn’t be too far apart in age. Both Traci and Sally know what it feels like to face Lauren’s (Tracey Bregman) wrath.

Then there’s the fact that Sally spent quite a bit of time at the Abbott mansion when she became close friends with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) for a while. Presumably, she and Traci got to know each other during that time. While Sally has abandonment issues and can be ruthless at times to get what she wants, that seems to be a trademark for many in Genoa City. No doubt, during her life, Traci befriended her fair share of people with similar issues.

The Voice Of Reason

Sally needs a voice of reason to help guide her. She’s mostly been on her own in the world. As for Traci, she’s the heart of the Abbott family and very often the conscience of the whole town. She’d make an excellent mentor for Sally. We could see the duo bonding over their Lauren woes and building a beautiful friendship moving forward.

Perhaps Sally would bring some life and joy to Traci, and Traci could help temper Sally and provide her with grounding and guidance as she tries to make her mark. The young designer could use an older female friend in her life, and we think Traci would benefit too.
