Veteran actress Nichelle Nichols has wrapped up her two-day stint as Neil’s estranged mother, Lucinda.
She first appeared on the soap’s 11,000 episode, which aired September 1, and died on the show’s September 5 episode. Nichols is best known for her role as Lieutenant Uhura on the 1960s series, Star Trek, as well as its succeeding films. She also played a nurse on another soap, the 1966 series, Peyton Place.
