Who’s coming and who’s going from The Young and the Restless (YR)? Are any favorite performers from yesteryear returning to the daytime drama, this week, or in the near future?
Have any new actors or actresses been cast on the show in con-tract, recurring or day player roles?
Are any well remembered or beloved stars from other soaps, past or present, about to join The Young and the Restless fold in surprise new parts?
Here’s the latest casting news from the CBS soap.
The week of February 4, 2019
With Victor’s (Eric Braden) trial about to begin, expect plenty of coverage on the Genoa City news. And the soap has brought in two bona fide media women to handle the assignment.
Entertainment Tonight correspondent Nischelle Turner, who happens to be a real-life fan of the soap, turns up as a news anchor on Friday, February 8.
“I’m giving the run-down on Victor Newman’s trial,” Turner told Soap Opera Digest, noting that she didn’t interact onscreen with any of the show’s cast.
Also involved in the town’s biggest story is Suzanne Marques, a CBS Los Angeles anchor and news reporter. Marquez turns up as a reporter on Friday, February 8.
The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for air times.
