Who’s coming and who’s going from The Young and the Restless (YR)?
Are any favorite performers from yesteryear returning to the daytime drama, this week, or in the near future?
Have any new actors or actresses been cast on the show in con-tract, recurring or day player roles?
Are any well remembered or beloved stars from other soaps, past or present, about to join The Young and the Restless fold in surprise new parts?
Here’s the latest casting news from the CBS soap.
The week of July 23, 2018
Soap hopper Jordi Vilasuso, last seen as Dario Hernandez on Days of Our Lives, has nabbed a new role.
The actor has been cast as Rey, a mysterious stranger who immediately finds himself caught up in a major drama.
Vilasuso, who has also appeared on All My Children (as Griffin Castillo) and Guiding Light (as Tony Santos), is set to debut on Y&R in August.
Thad Luckinbill, who recently popped up again as the “deceased” J.T. Hellstrom — or so it seemed, has finished his latest stint as Victoria’s (Amelia Heinle) ex-husband. The actor returned to the soap for a four-month run in December 2017.
The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
