Who’s coming and who’s going from The Young and the Restless (YR)?
Are any favorite performers from yesteryear returning to the daytime drama, this week, or in the near future?
Have any new actors or actresses been cast on the show in contract, recurring or day player roles?
Are any well remembered or beloved stars from other soaps, past or present, about to join The Young and the Restless fold in surprise new parts?
Here’s the latest casting news from the CBS soap.
The week of June 25, 2018
Talk about typecasting. KCBS-TV news anchor Pat Harvey appears as — you guessed it — a newscaster on Monday, June 25. It’s a one-time guest spot and a dream come true to Harvey. Apparently, the newswoman has been a big fan of The Young and the Restless for years.
Former Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl champ, Drew Pearson, debuts as Dwayne on Thursday, June 28. Like the aforementioned Harvey, he’s also a bigtime fan of the soap. Pearson will share scenes with Eric Braeden (Victor Newman), since he’s playing the Genoa City tycoon’s bodyguard.
The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for air times.
