Who’s coming and who’s going from The Young and the Restless?
Are any favorite performers from yesteryear returning to the daytime drama, this week, or in the near future?
Have any new actors or actresses been cast on the show in contract, recurring or day player roles?
Are any well remembered or beloved stars from other soaps, past or present, about to join The Young and the Restless fold in surprise new parts?
Here’s the latest casting news from the CBS soap.
The week of December 24, 2018
Two majorly missed Newmans are back on the Genoa City scene. First and foremost, Eric Braeden, who’s only appeared in a handful of brief video chats over the last few weeks, returns in the flesh as family patriarch Victor on Monday, December 24.
The actor headed off on an extended vacation to his native Germany in September.
Also back in town on Monday, December 24 is Robert Adamson as Noah Newman. The character returns to visit his seriously injured grandmother Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott).
Adamson, who was previously under contract with the soap, but is now a recurring player, made his last appearance in October, when he attended Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon’s (Sharon Case) wedding that wasn’t.
The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for air times.
