Beth Maitland is back on set taping scenes as Traci Abbott. The actress revealed the news on Twitter. It will mark her first appearance of 2020. The last aired in December to celebrate Christmas with her family.
Tina Casciani returns as Riza on Friday, February 14. The character is connected to Adam (Mark Grossman) and used to be his gambling pal from his time in Las Vegas.
Virginia Louise Smith is back on the scene as Elyce, a nurse who’s been tending to Sharon (Sharon Case) since she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She airs on Monday, February 10.
YR made its debut in 1973 and introduced more sexual undertones and younger characters to daytime soap operas. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, four decades of storylines have kept viewers locked in and wanting more.
From Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) family machinations to Paul Williams’ (Doug Davidson) heroism to the adorable love story of Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Lola (Sasha Calle), YR knows how to entertain and keep fans coming back for more. Sadly, times are shifting and daytime soap operas are shrinking.
It is one of only four remaining soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include General Hospital (GH), Days of our Lives (DAYS), and The Bold and the Beautiful (BB). YR airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for air times.
