The week of April 8, 2019
Get ready for a Phyllis switcheroo. Michelle Stafford, who created the popular character in 1994, is returning to the role following contract negotiations fail over at GH where she played Nina Reeves. Stafford played Phyllis from 1994 to 1997 and again from 2000 to 2013.
Meanwhile, Stafford’s replacement Gina Tognini, who took over the part in 2014, has been let go.
There’s another return on the YR horizon. Greg Rikaart, last seen as Leo Stark on Days of Our Lives, is headed back to the Genoa City canvas as Kevin Fisher, Michael’s (Christian LeBlanc) brother. Rikaart last appeared on the soap in February of 2018.
Three more additions to the show’s upcoming tribute to the late Kristoff St. John and his character Neil Winters: Jess Walton and Eileen Davidson as Jill Abbott and Ashley Abbott, respectively. Also, Stan Shaw, who worked with St. John on Roots: The Next Generation, will serve as the reverend presiding over Neil’s funeral.
Jennifer Taylor is back as Rebekah Barlow on Wednesday, April 10. Mitch Eakins pops up as Brandon Rose on Wednesday, April 10. Sean Muramatsu plays Ted on Tuesday, April 11.
