The week of September 17, 2018
Another big exit at Y&R. Doug Davidson reports that he was taken off contract in January and went recurring, but now appears to be off the soap for good, as he has no future tape dates.
According to the 40-year vet, who has played Paul Williams since 1978, the show has decided to move in another direction.
Richard Gleason begins a stint as Matt Miller, the estranged brother of Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), on Thursday, September 20.
He’s set to appear in several episodes. The character, originally portrayed by Robert Parucha, was last seen on the canvas in 2003, when he returned to tell Victor that their father Albert was alive, but on his deathbed.
Beth Maitland returns for another run as Traci Abbott on Friday, September 21.
Coby Ryan McLaughlin appears as Andrew Lynford on Monday, September 17. McLaughlin’s credits include the roles of Chris Jeffries on Parenthood (2014) and Archie Garrett on Graceland (2014).
