Kyle voted against his dad Jack on The Young and the Restless at a board meeting a while back. Now, he’s going to have to do some explaining to do in person! The show has cast a new actor to play the part!
According to Soap Opera Digest, actor Michael Mealor has been hired to portray the role of Kyle, son of Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and the late Diane Jenkins (Maura West).
Mealor’s first air date is set for Monday, March 26, the show’s 45th anniversary!
His credits include playing Frat Guy on Chasing Life, Fratty Dude on Supergirl, and Josh the Runner on Roadies.
Kyle had an up and down relationship with Summer (Hunter King). She developed a crush on him, but then the pair mistakenly believed that they were brother and sister. They made a go of it after they found out they weren’t related, but things fizzled and Kyle left town.
How will he be worked into the story this time around? Jack can certainly use a new story and his wayward son would provide just that. Tune in to find out!
