The Young and the Restless Alum Loren Lott On Her First Film Role

If you’re a social media follower of The Young and the Restless alum Loren Lott, you know that she has been working very hard recently on a new project — her first film role! Well, now she has announced that shooting has wrapped on the picture that was directed by one-time guest star on The Bold and the Beautiful — and the star of Ambitions — Robin Givens.

Lott announced the news Friday to her Instagram account, along with some great images from behind the scenes on the film, Favorite Son, where she will be playing the role of Amber.

“That’s a wrap on my first movie,” enthused the actress. “I’m so grateful! Now I can finally say I do it all: TV, FILM, Broadway, plays, and commercials. For my first movie to be one where I got to sing and be with my friends was such a dream. Thank you forever @robingivens for always encouraging me and loving on me and being the best director!”

Givens has taken on this project after finishing her run as Stephanie Carlisle Lancaster, the deliciously no-holds-barred attorney who wanted it all on the show Ambitions. But in 2018, she guested on BB as Dr. Phillips. Prior to Favorite Son, she directed Ann Rule’s A Murder to Remember with Kendrick Cross, who played Stephanie’s ex-boyfriend Titus on Ambitions. This new film gave her the chance to work with Lott — who was thrilled.

Lott truly can do it all and proves it all the time on her social media — whether she’s displaying her incredible energy, her incredible voice, or her solid dance moves, she has what it takes to go the distance.
