The primetime soap genre is alive and well with the latest sudsy saga to hit the airwaves — Ambitions. This new soap tells the story of the powerful Carlisle clan, a legal dynasty in Atlanta and stars Robin Givens.
Ambitions was created by Jamey Giddens and Will Packer (Jacob’s Ladder; Being Mary Jane). The series stars Robin Givens (The Bold and the Beautiful, Riverdale) as attorney Stephanie Carlisle Lancaster, who is the wife of Atlanta mayor Evan Lancaster (Brian J. White). Soap vet and fan fave Rick Hearst has also been announced as joining the cast.

“I hope Ambitions will be a love letter to diehard soap fans,” adds Giddens, a devotee of Another World, Santa Barbara, Knots Landing, and The Young And The Restless. “It recalls the soaps I grew up loving but with a more modern sensibility.”
Kevin Arkadie (The Shield) joins Giddens as executive producer/writer on the show, which will address social issues.
